  • Drinking alcohol: We all know alcohol consumption is not good at all, as it defects any organs in the body, it can also affect your reproductive health. Alcohol is a well known teratogen, which causes infertility and long exposure to this in pregnancy can cause defects in the unborn.
  • Coffee: Coffee is a stimulant that can be found in many beverages, which can affect the nervous system as well as reproductive system. Some studies have shown that women who take high amounts of caffeine on a daily basis may take a long time to get pregnant.
  • Lack of exercise: Being inactive is also one of the reasons for fertility issues. Daily exercise increases the chances of getting pregnant and reduces the ovulation problems. Whereas, inactivity affects the semen quality and testicular function.
  • Use of recreational drugs: The consumption of heroin, ecstasy, cocaine, cannabis, marijuana, or any other recreational drug can reduce the ability to conceive. In women, they can cause inoculation, and in men, they reduce the production of sperm.
  • Exposure to chemicals: In our daily life routine, we come into exposure to many harmful chemicals, through the air we breathe, foods we eat, and also products we use. Many toxic chemicals can increase the chances of infertility by reducing the sperm and eggs quality.

Taking some healthy lifestyle choices including maintaining a healthy weight, doing regular exercise, avoiding exposure to harmful toxins, cutting caffeine, quitting smoking and drinking alcohol, may help you to conceive.
